New Challenge! New Place!

Hello, everyone! A little change to the SBS challenges has occurred. The Design Teams for the Simply Challenged Challenges Blog and the Simply Steampunk Challenges Blog have been combined into one team and the Simply Challenged Challenges Blog has been discontinued. The DT members will be taking turns (in two different teams) on the challenges over at the Steampunk Challenges Site and work together to bring you new releases from SBS. Pretty exciting for me, since I happen to love coloring the Steampunk images so much!

So stick with me as I adjust to the change; won't be too different. And stop by regularly to see what I, and the rest of the DT has is store for you!

Go to the Simply Steampunk Challenges Blog for all the details. Here are some of them:

Challenges will now start on the 10th of each month.
Winners are announced when the next Challenge begins.. you may enter as many times as you like, BUT each entry must be new and follow the rules of the challenge.
you MUST use a Steampunk image.

The DT is using The Roberts Portraits
okay everyone ready for a new Challenge?
Make it Lacy, join in and have fun!
Winner will get 1 Steampunk image of choice,
MUST have 5 entries for the Challenge to get a prize.

Here is what I came up with using the Mr. Roberts Portrait from the collection:

For this card, I colored the image with Copics and used the "no lines" stamping technique. After I colored Mr. Roberts in I added an outline to the raven behind him and "stars" to the background, using a white Faber-Castell marker then going over them with more FC markers in various colors. The papers are from DCWV and the clocks are some transparencies I had in a box. I also added some dark red lace, tiny staples (with a Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher), and Liquid Pearls.

Thank you for stopping by! Make sure to check out  Team A DT's blogs, and let me know if you decide to enter the challenge!

Zombie! --- Zombie Bride That Is.

Hello, everyone! I hope you all had a magnificent 4th of July! I'm here today to share an image from Simply B Stamps for a new release. Betty is releasing to adorable and fantastic images with word art. The word art is created by Christian, Betty's son and this whole line will be a collaboration with him, with Zombie Betty as the mascot. Go visit the SBS Blog so you can get all the details.

Due to time constraints, I only got to create with one of these awesome images, BUT it was a whole lot of fun. So check it out!

This one here is Till Death Betty Oval. This helps focus on what a lovely bride she is!

This one here is a combination of Zombie Bride Betty, some word art, and the coffin that comes in the set. Really had fun with the graffiti word art! Wish you could really see how bright it came out in real life.

This is Till Death Zombie Bride Betty. She comes with the word art already attached.

Go check out the rest of the SBS DT Blogs, to see both images and all the amazing varied creations they made: Here's a list to make it easy for you.

SBS Showcase ~Persephone Lola

Hi, everybody! I have my last showcase of the month to share with you! One more from the Gods in Love Collection! This one is such a sweet image.

I give you Persephone Lola:

I had to put this sweet little image on a container for sweets! I created this pillbox with a template and papers from Echo Park. I inked the edges with Worn Lipstick Distress Ink, added Flamingo and Black Liquid Pearls, and some pink lace. I then added all the flowers. The image is colored with Copics.

Make sure to stop by the SBS Blog to check out more showcases this month! I hope to see you all for next month's showcases! Thanks for stopping by!

Simply Challenged Challenge ~Feb 10, 2014~

Hello, everyone! I hope you are having a lovely week! It's almost Valentine's Day! Have you got your V-Day projects and gifts ready yet? I have to work on the gifts for my children but I think I'm right on schedule. Lol.

Today I am sharing a card I made for the SCC challenge for Feb.

Ready for a new fun Challenge?

Challenge theme: Crop your SBS image, use only the face on your image.  Crop it down to a circle, a triangle, a square, any way you want to crop it but make the face the focus of the image.

So come on by and join in!

This is my Blue Valentine. I used Pandora Rio for this card, and as you can see I cropped the image into a circle to focus on her face. I used Copics to color the image and I used the DCWV paper stack called The Juniper Berry Stack. I used some Magnolia flowers from Petaloo and Bloomer Ribbon from Webster's Pages. I used some rose buds from Wild Orchid Crafts, and a border punch from We R Memory Keepers. I added some heart embellishments from my stash then accented everything with Liquid Pearls in Bisque.

Creative Creations Challenge - Anything Goes!

Happy New Year's Everyone! I hope all of you have started the new year with lots of happiness and fun!

After a break for the holidays, I am happy to say that I am in a creative mood! And it's been a long while since I felt this creative. So here is a card I made using a new image from Simply B Stamps, for the Anything Goes Challenge at Creative Creations.

This is the lovely Cupid Elisabete. She is a Valentine's Day Cupid image but I think she looks like she could be an angel as well.

For this card, I used some card stock and papers from my stash, a lace border punch, liquid pearls, paper flowers, Stickles, and Distress Inks in Dusty Concord and Faded Jeans. I hand cut the clouds from white card stock. The image was colored with copics.

It's SCC Challenge Time! ~Create Your Own Background~

Hello, everyone! It's another SCC challenge! It's time to get creative! This challenge is all about creating your own background! No patterned paper!

Create your Own Background, no embossing folders or digi's
Use Stencils, ink, delusions spray, whatever you like, just make your own background.

This lovely lady is  April Showers Rio and Toots! She's ready for a lovely and fun rainy day!

For my background, I used some glossy paper, alcohol inks (sailboat, denim, silver metallic, and pool), and some glossy accents for rain drops. I like how the background looks like water falling on a window pane.

Come join in the fun over at SCC! And be sure to check out all the DT creations!

I used some lace (colored with Lindy's Stamp Gang Cattail Copper Brown mist), the DIY sentiment, a couple of different ribbons to hang it from, flowers colored with LSG Cattail Copper Brown and Tibetan Poppy Teal, and an image I cut out of some Tim Holtz kraft cardstock,. I distressed the tag with some Walnut Stain and Broken China Distress Inks, and used some lace with pearls (colored with Lindy's Stamp Gang Tibetan Poppy Teal), and a couple of kraft cardstocks. Burlesque Bettys Sneak Peak - Preview Day 3

Hello, everybody! It's day 3 of the Burlesque Bettys preview and the images keep getting better and better!

Talk about a HAND-ful of cuties eh? What do you think so far?

Today's cutie is just a HAND-ful of sass! She's sure to lend you a HAND with your "SUPPORT" type cards!

Let's hear it for Betty Hand Bottoms!

For this image I got the theme of Love!

I Love You From Top to Bottom. I immediately thought of pink and black for the color scheme for the Love theme. It wasn't until later that I figured the green would make an awesome combo with them. You can't see it but there is glitter on the hands that are on her outfit. I love my Copic Spica pens!

The inside of my I Love You From Top to Bottom card.

Your turn to show some SUPPORT and visit the rest of the DT and show them some love? We all love to hear your feedback on our projects!

Burlesque Bettys Sneak Peak - Preview Day 1

Hello, all! Today is a day I have been looking forward to for a while! This is the beginning of the sneak peeks for a fabulous new stamp line from Simply B Stamps! These stamps are so cool and fun to play with! I sure enjoyed coloring them and making them into cards!

Betty put it perfectly in the description on the Simply Betty Stamps Blog:

Glamour, Dance, and Song....

What would you get from all three clues in our post title?

One heck of a Bettys Line...

BURLESQUE Bettys!!

Imagine the possibilities with such cute images! As we take you on a tip tap toeing preview week we promise to Dazzle you! These cuties are sure to knock your socks off and have you dancing around the craft room with lots of glitter, flock, and rhinestones!

Today we are going to kick it off with
Betty Bad Girl

To show how versatile these cuties are sure to be, we have each done her up in a different theme.

My theme for Betty Bad Girl was the color scheme of Black, Red, and Cream. Here she is!

You Take the Stage! This is my version of Betty Bad Girl. I had a lot of fun trying to color her hair a blue black. Never done that before! Lol. But I like how it came out.
The red curtains are cut out from cardstock and inked with Red Brick Distress Ink to make them look like they are pleated. Then I added Liquid pearls to make them look like they had fringe. I inked the background paper with Vintage Photo Distress Ink to get a cream color instead of white.

Please hop around and check out the rest of the gal's creations with Betty Bad Girl, each one has a different theme to share!
