13 Days of Halloween - Day 11!

Hello, all! Day 11 of the 13 Days of Halloween is here! And today's challenge is as follows:

Getting closer to the end. Halloween is nearly here! I am beyond excited! My favorite Halloween dessert is a Carmel apple, maybe Candied Apple, but a sweet one non the less. I usually put out a large range of sweets and Carmel and Candied Apples are a must!

Now onto the "sweets"

Candy Corn or Carmel Apples? Use either one of these color combos: Orange, Yellow, and white or Carmel and Lime Green only... black is allowed as a base.

So here is my creation using the Caramel Apples color scheme (I hate candy corn, LOL!):
Demon Card. This is Druscilla the Demon; very lovely for a demon I think. I used some Echo Park Chillingsworth papers, a flower from my stash, Copics to color the image, and liquid pearls for the flourish.

13 Days of Halloween - Day 10!

Hello, all!

Today is Day 10 of the 13 Days of Halloween over at SCC! And the challenge is:

Ghouls and Witches on the big screen use any image and make it resemble your favorite Favorite Movie ghoul, ghost, witch, or scary persona. (You cannot use an image that is already the persona you are going to create, such as if you want to create Morticia, you cannot use Little Dark Homemaker for your project, etc...)

I've been having loads of fun with these creations but this one has been the most fun so far. The reason is that I couldn't think of a horror persona that I could create without using images that were already that certain person. Then I saw the image I used and it was like a light bulb above my head. Let me know what you think!

For more DT inspiration, details, and to enter the challenge, please visit the SCC Blog.

My creation:

Want To Go To the Prom? Card. This is Prom Queen Rio as Carrie. Carrie was one of my favorite horror movies when I was a kid and when I saw the name of the image, the idea popped into my head. Let me tell you, it is difficult to get good blood platter! Lol.

This is Prom Queen Rio before I cut her out and covered her in blood.
I hope you're enjoying the 13 Days, and that you are taking the time to participate. The grand prize of the challenges is a Design Team position over at Simply B Stamps!!

13 Days of Halloween - Day 9!

Hello, all! Today is Day 9 of the 13 Days! Have you been having fun! I know I have!

Today's challenge is Witches Stockings! Use stripes in your project!

This is my creation:

Free Halloween Hugs Card. I used Freddy Kruger Boy from Simply B Stamps for this because of his striped sweater. And I thought it would be cool to mimic the stripes on the card. Then I thought of the actual Freddy Kruger's sweater and how it was dingey and burnt. So I used Distress Ink Peeled Paint around the edges and yes, I then burned the edges and a couple of holes. Pretty simple but I think it's kinda cute. Lol.

Okay, ready to participate!? Go to the SCC Blog for details, more DT inspiration, and to enter!

13 Days of Halloween - Day 7!

Hello, all! It's Day 7 of the 13 Days of Halloween over at Simply Challenged Challenges!

Today's challenge is Grave Digger...create a Graveyard Scene!

To see other DT inspiration and participate in the challenge, please visit the SCC Blog.

This is the graveyard scene I created:

The Graveyard. I used several of the Sweet Gothic Kids images from Simply B Stamps - Franken Scott, Witchy Wednesday, and Vampiress Tilly. The structure for this is made of chipboard. I then covered the structure with some Moxxie papers I had in my stash. The tombstones were cut with my Cricut and the Oct. 31 cartridge, then inked with Peeled Paint and Black Soot Distress Inks. The pumpkins were cut out from a different sheet of Moxxie paper. The images were colored with Copics.

This was such a fun project for me! I hope you'll join in the challenge!

13 Days of Halloween - Day 6!

Hello, all! Today's challenge for the 13 Days of Halloween is:

Slime and Grime! - Use lime green and distressing on your projects!

To see some other creations by the DT and the details of the challenge, please visit the SCC Blog.

This is how I used lime green and distressing on my project:

Happy Halloween! Card. This awesome teen is Ellanore from Simply B Stamps! I love the way she's drawn; she reminds me of my oldest daughter. For this card, I used some papers from my Halloween stash, pom pom trim, crystal flourishes, stickers and a sentiment from Echo Park, and brads. The image was colored with copics. I also used a lot of mini staples to make stitch marks, although you cannot see them clearly in this pic.

Can't wait to see what everyone creates!

Gods in Love Special Release!

Hello, everyone! I have something awesome to share with you today! A new release of Simply B Stamps is happening!

These stamps were meant for release much later but because Betty needs to raise money for her son's therapy she is releasing them in digi form early. They will only be available in digi form until Friday. After that they will be released in rubber only in January. So get them in digi form while you can!

I recieved these two awesome images to work with for this release; Hades Christian and Persephone Lola!

You Set My Heart on FIRE. This hot young man is Hades Christian. He is soooo cute! I love him and his heart of flames!

My World Turns COLD Without You Near. This enchanting lady is Persephone Lola. I love her innocence! I created the sentiment to reflect the Greek myth of Perephone and her mother, Demeter, who was supposed to have been so saddened by her daughter's kindnapping that she created Fall and Winter on Earth.

For more peaks at the stamps in this special release, please visit my fellow SBS DT members, Erin and Corinne!

13 Days of Halloween - Day 5!

Hello, all! Here we are on Day 5 of the 13 Days of Halloween! Today's challenge is:

What a wicked Web we weave... used cobwebs and spiders on your projects, heck make a huge spiderweb if you want!

For all the details and some wonderful DT inspiration, check out the SCC Blog!

This is my creation using spiders and cobwebs!

Scrap Vamp Sign. I created a sign to go on my craft room door. I used my favorite colors and Spiderella from Simply B Stamps. Isn't she so cool?! The papers are a combination of Echo Park and DCWV. The flourished are liquid pearls and craft plastic, and the alphas are from Thickers. The webs are cut from cardstock using my Cricut. And the black widow spider is also made of liquid pearls. The image was colored with Copics.

Here is a close up!

You have until October 16th at 6:00pm to upload your webbed creations, have fun spinning!

13 Days of Halloween - Day 4

Hi, everyone! This is Day 4 of the 13 Days of Halloween!

The challenge for today is All a Glow... add "glow" to your projects... with Copic's on an image, or actual lighting if you can manage it!

This is my DT example for this challenge:

All A Glow Votive Holder - Off. I used the Winnie image from the Wikidz Collection from Simply B Stamps. I colored the image with Copics, and created a holder from the image and cardstock that I connected to a votive I had. I used gold cardstock as well, and lots of bright Liquid Pearls.

All A Glow Votive Holder - On. This is the same votive holder with the candle lit.

13 Days of Hallowen - Day 3

Hello, all! Time for another 13 Days of Halloween challenge!

Today's challenge is: Where's my Mummy?  Use gauze and Wrap up your projects!

This is what I created as an example for this challenge:

Mummy Dearest Frame. This awesome mummy is Wrapped Up Rio! I love her hair and the way her wrappings hang on her! I used one of those inexpensive wooden frames from the craft store and wrapped it up with seam binding that was antigued using water and Antique Linen Distress Ink Re-inker. The flowers are from my stash and Rio was colored with Copics.
Please visit the SCC blog to participate and view all the other DT creations!

Secret Release Sneak Peek Blog Hop Day 2!

Hello, everyone! It's time for the sneak peek of the second image in the Secret Release for Simply B Stamps! Whoo Hoo! The digis of these were only available for the secret release but these images will be available in rubber on the 12th!

Today, we have Little Dark Homemaker!

Mon Cher (My Love) Card. This amazingly gorgeous lady is Little Dark Homemaker! She is the perfect Morticia Addams to me! I love it! I even tried to giver her that shadowing they always did on Morticia in the movies across her eyes (don't know if you can see it all that well in this pic). The papers are from Echo Park and the DCWV Immortal Love stack. I am sorry that the picture of this isn't the best.
