New SBS Releases! ~Betty Boo-doirs Halloween and Betty Boos Halloween!

Hello, everyone! My favorite time of year is nearing! I can't wait for Halloween. How about you? I happen to share this favoritism for the time of spooks, ghouls, and monsters with Betty from SBS. And if you are a fan of Simply B Stamps, you know she goes sketch-mad about this time of year, to get ready for Halloween.

She has not disappointed this year either! Today, I get to share one of the releases she has ready for you (I did not have time to do the release of the Betty Boos Halloween but I did go an purchase them to play with later! Yipee!). This release is called the Betty Boo-doirs Halloween. Check them out!

This is green-eyed devil is Devilish Betty. I couldn't get "Devil with a Blue Dress On" out of my head, hence the blue dress. Lol.

This stunning creature is Franken Babe Betty. She reminds me of the Rockabilly style. Love her high-up-there hair!

This ghostly apparition is Spirited Betty. I love the wispy outfit she has on.

This seductive beauty is Witchy Mrs. Boo. She is my favorite from this collection. That hair is just too much fun to color!

This is Betty Boo's House. This was so different to color but oh, so much fun! I don't usually color buildings or backgrounds. I might just begin to color more of them now :)

Please make to check out the SBS Blog and the DT Blogs (listed below) to check out more inspiring creations and the other release! And on the way, make sure to stop by the SBS Store to get your own!

Simply B Stamps Showcase ~Patriotic Betty~

Hello, everyone! I have a wonderful image to show off today for this SBS Showcase. She's full of patriotism and such a bombshell. Patriotic Betty is such a perfect pin up!

Here she is on a card I made. I know it's early for 4th of July projects but she just lends herself for this type of card!

Happy 4th of July card. I used Echo Park 4th of July papers and stickers for this card. The image was colored with Copics and highlighted with a white opaque pen.

Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope to see you all again soon!

SBS Showcase ~Little Hobo Clown Oscar~

Hi, all! It's time for another Simply B Stamps showcase!

I'm here again showing off another cutie from the Jude at the Circus collection from SBS. He's such a sweet little thing and I, for one, am delighted that he has a smile on his face. My experience with these "hobo" clowns is that they always have a frown and tear painted on. Too sad for my taste! So thanks, Betty, for making him cheery! I love his sly little smile.

Here is my Little Hobo Clown Oscar:

I made this little notebook (3"x6") from chipboard, covered with some Imaginisce paper. I used the Cinch and We R Memory Keepers binding, and colored the image and the "smile" in the sentiment with Copics.

Thank you for stopping by! I'll see you on the 25th of March for my next showcase!

SBS Showcase ~Persephone Lola

Hi, everybody! I have my last showcase of the month to share with you! One more from the Gods in Love Collection! This one is such a sweet image.

I give you Persephone Lola:

I had to put this sweet little image on a container for sweets! I created this pillbox with a template and papers from Echo Park. I inked the edges with Worn Lipstick Distress Ink, added Flamingo and Black Liquid Pearls, and some pink lace. I then added all the flowers. The image is colored with Copics.

Make sure to stop by the SBS Blog to check out more showcases this month! I hope to see you all for next month's showcases! Thanks for stopping by!

Simply Challenged Challenge ~Feb 10, 2014~

Hello, everyone! I hope you are having a lovely week! It's almost Valentine's Day! Have you got your V-Day projects and gifts ready yet? I have to work on the gifts for my children but I think I'm right on schedule. Lol.

Today I am sharing a card I made for the SCC challenge for Feb.

Ready for a new fun Challenge?

Challenge theme: Crop your SBS image, use only the face on your image.  Crop it down to a circle, a triangle, a square, any way you want to crop it but make the face the focus of the image.

So come on by and join in!

This is my Blue Valentine. I used Pandora Rio for this card, and as you can see I cropped the image into a circle to focus on her face. I used Copics to color the image and I used the DCWV paper stack called The Juniper Berry Stack. I used some Magnolia flowers from Petaloo and Bloomer Ribbon from Webster's Pages. I used some rose buds from Wild Orchid Crafts, and a border punch from We R Memory Keepers. I added some heart embellishments from my stash then accented everything with Liquid Pearls in Bisque.

I Love Chocolate! Rio

Hello, everyone! One more showcase for this month from me! The collection is the Emo Valentine Line from Simply B Stamps! Today it's all about I Love Chocolate Rio! This is my favorite Valentine image from SBS! She's just so quirky and cute, and I can definitely relate with her love of chocolate.

For this card I used some lilac and gold heart patterned paper from my stash. Much like most of my stash, I don't know or remember what manufacturer its from. The card stock is from Recollections and the little valentine cards are from a patterned paper from my stash. I used the We R Memory Keepers  Sew Easy Stitch Piercer with the Hearts Head Attachment. I then stitched each heart in alternating colors. The image was colored with Copics.

Make sure you stop by the SBS Blog tomorrow as well for the last of our Valentine showcases!

Heart Break Miller SBS Showcase

Hello, all! It's my turn to showcase an SBS image from the Emo Valentines Collection today! I hope you've been stopping by the SCC Blog to check out everyone's creations!

This lovestruck young man is Heart Break Miller from the Emo Valentines Collection from Simply B Stamps. He's such a cutie. For this card, I used some Echo park Valentine papers, felt die cut hearts, doilies, a brad (with kissy lips), and a Martha Stewart hearts border punch. The image was colored with Copics.

Candy Hoggin London SBS Showcase

Hello, all! Can you believe we are into the third week of the new year already?! Time is really flying by lately!

Today I have a card to share with you. The focus of this card is Candy Hoggin London; a fantastic image from the Emo Valentine Collection from Simply B Stamps. All month long, the DT will be creating projects with the images from this collection, so make sure to stop by the blog often so you don't miss a thing!

This lovely lady laden with her Valentine's Day Candy is Candy Hoggin London. She must love sweets as much as I do. Lol. For this card, I used some candy patterned papers that I had in my stash. I really had a hard time photographing this as the paper was so light in color but I finally got a good shot. I used twine from Michael's Dollar Spot and a button I had in a jar. London is colored with Copics.

SCC Challenge! November 5 ~Fall Colors~

Hello, everyone! After a month of no challenges, here is the first November challenge at Simply Challenged Challenges! I don't know about where you live but here, it is just barely cooling off any. I am SO ready for fall! It's my favorite season and it just hasn't felt at all like the holidays are creeping up. I am hoping this challenge and some holiday creating will change all that! :)

Fall Colors Challenge
Colors: Spice, Turquoise, Cream. You must use these 3 colors in your project,
you may use other colors also ...
you MUST use an SBS image for a chance at the prize.

The DT will be using the Teen Scene Dragon Pet Collection.

Here is my creation for this challenge, using the image Christian and Spitfire.

I used an older DCWV stack that I had in my stash that fit the color scheme. Then matted the papers in black to make them pop a bit. I also added some Liquid Pearls to add a little shine.
Make sure to stop by the other DT and Guest DT blogs, to check out what they've created!

The 13 Days of Halloween are an annual celebration at SBS throughout the month of October full of challenges, prizes, and surprises! So stop by and join in!

The ninth challenge of Halloween is to use Black, Green, and Red Splatters! Use mists, paints, glitter glue; whatever gives a good SPLAT to your creations!

Check out the Simply B Stamps blog for all the fun details!

This is my project for this challenge:

This is my splatter card. I used Abigail Larson's image,  Mr. Gibbs Zombie Pirate, which can be purchased at SBS. I colored the image with Copics and used Queen of Hearts Red and Midnight Rendezvous Black mists from Lindy's Stamp Gang; along with Shimmerz Hermit the Frog mist.

It's the 13 Days of Halloween! ~Day 4~

Hello, everyone! Let's continue to celebrate the Halloween! It's the fourth day of the 13 Days of Halloween over at the Simply Betty Stamps Blog! The 13 Days of Halloween are an annual celebration at SBS throughout the month of October full of challenges, prizes, and surprises! So come and join in!

The fourth day of Halloween is all about toe tags! No you don't have to slip into the morgue and steel the tag off a body.... This challenge is about creating a tag, any which way you want to!

Check out the Simply B Stamps blog for all the fun details!

Here is my creation for this fourth challenge:

This amazing image is from the Simply B Stamps shop, created by Abigail Larson, called "Dance with Death." Isn't is just lovely?! I decide to concentrate all the color on Death and his dance partner, then leaving everything else is in grays. I used the DCWV Immortal Love stack for this tag, along with a clock die cut and a clock transparency. I also added red satin ribbon and black liquid pearls.

It's the 13 Days of Halloween! ~Day 2~

Hello, everyone!  Let's continue to celebrate the fabulously spooky time of Halloween. It's the second day of the 13 Days of Halloween over at the Simply Betty Stamps Blog! Thirteen fun-filled days throughout the month of October full of challenges, prizes, and surprises!

The second  day of Halloween is all about ooey gooey body parts. This second challenge includes incorporating body parts and pieces in your creations! Severed hands, hanging eyeballs, or ripped-off fingernails.... Whatever your freakish mind can come up with!

Check out the Simply B Stamps blog for all the fun details!

Here is my creation for this second challenge:

This is Bwains Christian. Isn't he adorable? I love his innocent look, even though he's probably thing about eating your brain. Lol. I used an image from an embroidery pattern of a zombie hand to create the background paper. I colored the images in with Copics. I then made a border of brains by repeating a brain pattern on paper. The image is colored in  Copics, I used Thickers for the sentiment, and my Martha Stewart goo order punch for the borders of blood.

I hope you like it! Make sure to stop by SBS to see everyone else's projects!

It's the 13 Days of Halloween! ~Day 1~

Hello, everyone! It's finally that time of year again when we Halloween fanatics get in gear for our favorite month! OCTOBER! All the excitement leading, of course, to one of the most awesome holidays ever! HALLOWEEN!

And to celebrate this fabulously spooky time, Simply B Stamps is having the 13 Days of Halloween! Thirteen days throughout the month of October full of challenges, prizes, and surprises!

The first day of Halloween is full of creepy visuals. The first challenge is to create your very own creepy background. You can use mists, inks, stencils, embossing folders, and anything else you can think of to create a background for your project.

Check out the Simply B Stamps blog for all the fun details!

Here is the project I created with my creepy background:

I used the Steampunk Little Witch image for this project, which I will be turning into an journal cover. I started this background with light gray textured cardstock, misted it with Lindy's Stamp Gang mists (Afternoon Delight Denim, Cattail Copper Brown, Witch's Potion Purple, Ponderosa Pines Olive), then used the Tim Holtz Flourish stamp with Embossing Ink and clear embossing powder. I then used Distress Inks in various colors over the entire paper. I covered the embossed pieces with newspaper and ironed over it to get the embossing powder off. I then inked more on the paper, splattered it with water, and used a cobweb stamp and embossing powders from Lindy's in Terra Cotta Plum and King Midas Gold. I used Black and Gold Adirondack Paint Dabbers on the edges then affixed the image of the Little Witch (which is colored in Copics) to the cover.

Make sure to check out the challenges, fun, and other DT projects over at the SBS Blog! And check back on the 5th for the next 13 Days of Halloween challenge!

It's SCC Challenge Time! ~Create Your Own Background~

Hello, everyone! It's another SCC challenge! It's time to get creative! This challenge is all about creating your own background! No patterned paper!

Create your Own Background, no embossing folders or digi's
Use Stencils, ink, delusions spray, whatever you like, just make your own background.

This lovely lady is  April Showers Rio and Toots! She's ready for a lovely and fun rainy day!

For my background, I used some glossy paper, alcohol inks (sailboat, denim, silver metallic, and pool), and some glossy accents for rain drops. I like how the background looks like water falling on a window pane.

Come join in the fun over at SCC! And be sure to check out all the DT creations!
