Simply Challenged Challenge - March 10, 2014 - Polka Dots!

Hello, all! It's challenge time again over at SCC! Come and join the fun!

This month's challenge is all about the dots. Polka Dots! Use polka dotted paper, in ribbons or washi tape, or paint them on! Just use polka dots on your creation. Now, no cheating; polka dots on the image don't count!

This is my creation using polka dots and one of the new Jude at the Circus images from SBS!

This gorgeous little thing is Feather Girl Brittany from the Jude at the Circus collection. She's got a Big Top Personality and I couldn't help but add her to one of my little 6x6 notebooks. I used some carnival themed papers from GCD Studio for this, along with some Thickers, chipboard, Cotton Candy Stickles, and spiral binding from We R Memory Keepers. I used the Cinch to make the binding holes and Copics to color the image.

What do you all think? She's a cutie! Right!? Stop by the SCC Blog and read the details of the challenge as well as check out all the creation the DT made for you all!

It's the 13 Days of Halloween! ~Day 2~

Hello, everyone!  Let's continue to celebrate the fabulously spooky time of Halloween. It's the second day of the 13 Days of Halloween over at the Simply Betty Stamps Blog! Thirteen fun-filled days throughout the month of October full of challenges, prizes, and surprises!

The second  day of Halloween is all about ooey gooey body parts. This second challenge includes incorporating body parts and pieces in your creations! Severed hands, hanging eyeballs, or ripped-off fingernails.... Whatever your freakish mind can come up with!

Check out the Simply B Stamps blog for all the fun details!

Here is my creation for this second challenge:

This is Bwains Christian. Isn't he adorable? I love his innocent look, even though he's probably thing about eating your brain. Lol. I used an image from an embroidery pattern of a zombie hand to create the background paper. I colored the images in with Copics. I then made a border of brains by repeating a brain pattern on paper. The image is colored in  Copics, I used Thickers for the sentiment, and my Martha Stewart goo order punch for the borders of blood.

I hope you like it! Make sure to stop by SBS to see everyone else's projects!

Creative Creations Challenges - Easter!

Hello, everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful Easter! Today's challenge for CCC is to make Easter cards! Make sure to check out both the CCC blog and the CCC Facebook page to join in all the fun!

Here is the card I made for this challenge:

I used a Simply Betty Stamp for this challenge. She is not Easter themed but I think she is adorable in her spring outfit and with her umbrella, awaiting spring showers. The papers are from the Paper Studio, the eggs are little plastic ones from the Easter clearance at Hobby Lobby, and the alphas are Thickers. The image was colored with Copics.

I hope you all come on over to join in on the fun!

Simply Challenged Challenge - Sept 7 - Hosted By...

Hello, all! I thought I was busy before school started, but now that I am looking at all the Halloween projects need to be done, I know I am going to have to lock myself in my scraproom and not let anyone in! Kids and hubby, it's time to fend for yourselves!

Time for another Hosted By Challenge and this time it is my turn to Host and this is Corinne.. "waves". For this challenge I picked for the DT to use the AWESOME pirates and INK EM UP! show us different ways to use INK..

For details, to enter the challenge, and to see the DT inspiration samples, please visit the SCC Blog!

This is my creation with the Pirates stamps:

Ahoy, Matey! Card. This fantastic pirate is Bonnie from the Funky Pirates collection. For this card I used papers from the DCWV Nantucket paper pack because I thought the anchors and stripes were perfect for her! I used Vintage Photo Distress Ink to ink around the edges of the papers to give it a slightly more vintage look. The palm tree stickers are from who know where, but I found them at the bottom of one of my scrappy boxes. The alphas of the title are foam Thickers and the image was colored with Copics.

Also, take a look at the awesome Blog/Page Headers Betty has created for the DT! Don't feel left out though! You can purchase your own custom header for your blog at Simply B Stamps! I'll be purchasing a more personalized one that reflects my love of Alice in Wonderland when I can. :)
