It's the 13 Days of Halloween! ~Day 4~

Hello, everyone! Let's continue to celebrate the Halloween! It's the fourth day of the 13 Days of Halloween over at the Simply Betty Stamps Blog! The 13 Days of Halloween are an annual celebration at SBS throughout the month of October full of challenges, prizes, and surprises! So come and join in!

The fourth day of Halloween is all about toe tags! No you don't have to slip into the morgue and steel the tag off a body.... This challenge is about creating a tag, any which way you want to!

Check out the Simply B Stamps blog for all the fun details!

Here is my creation for this fourth challenge:

This amazing image is from the Simply B Stamps shop, created by Abigail Larson, called "Dance with Death." Isn't is just lovely?! I decide to concentrate all the color on Death and his dance partner, then leaving everything else is in grays. I used the DCWV Immortal Love stack for this tag, along with a clock die cut and a clock transparency. I also added red satin ribbon and black liquid pearls.

Creative Creations Challenge! ~Bingo~

Hello, everybody! I have a fun challenge for you from Creative Creations Challenges today! It's a Bingo challenge! Pick any three in a row to get Bingo and enter the challenge!

The sponsor for this fantastic challenge is Digital Delights by Louby Loo!

Below is the Bingo card. Be sure to check out the full details at the CCC Blog.

Any three in a row will do! I went all out and did a full Bingo card! I used every square on the card to create my project. Take a look!

DIY Door Hanger. I used some lace (colored with Lindy's Stamp Gang Cattail Copper Brown mist), the DIY sentiment, a couple of different ribbons to hang it from, flowers colored with LSG Cattail Copper Brown and Tibetan Poppy Teal, and an image I cut out of some Tim Holtz kraft cardstock,. I distressed the tag with some Walnut Stain and Broken China Distress Inks, and used some lace with pearls (colored with Lindy's Stamp Gang Tibetan Poppy Teal), and a couple of kraft cardstocks. I also made something other than a card. So that about covers it! Lol.

This challenge was a lot of fun and I hope that you'll stop by Creative Creations Challenges to join in!

Punky Scraps Challenge 51

Hello, all! It's Challenge 51 time at Punky Scraps! This challenge is another inspiration photo challenge and a get picky. I hope you'll come check it out and join in the fun!

Challenge 51:

The last challenge of this month:
1. Use a song title as your subtitle.
2. use 3 staples
3. use masking tape
4. stamp directly onto your paper
5. use a punch - any punch, even a hole punch
6. be inspired by this picture of Bob Dylan

This is what I came up with for this challenge!

Big Time Summer LO. These are photos of me and my daughter with the guys from Big Time Rush as a concert we attended last month. They are a bunch of cuties! I was inspired by the photo's color scheme and went all out with my mists and some paint. The staples on my layout are faux staples (actually punched out of paper), and the Superstar rub on at the bottom is actually one of BTR's song titles. The only thing that I didn't do from the list was to use masking tape! What do you think?

I hope this challenge inspires you to create and that you decide to participate in the challenge!

Grungy Monday #13

If you're looking for the Mad Tea Party post, it's the one below this one.

Hello, all! Today is Grungy Monday #13 over at Studio L3! I guess 13 is my lucky number because I was chosen by Linda to be a guest designer for this week! Guest designer along with me is Suzanne Bouchard. I can't tell you how excited I am to be doing this! I love all things Tim Holtz! This week's technique uses Tim Holtz's Adirondack Alcohol Inks. Here is a a link to the technique on the Ranger Ink website: Tim Holtz Demos Adirondack Alcohol Inks.

Since I am mainly a scrapbooker, I created a scrapbook page with this technique. Here is my take on this technique. I created the background for my page.

Time layout. These are three photos of my eldest daughter at three points in her life; as a baby, a youngster, and when she graduated high school. Time does fly! I used the Tim Holtz Adirondack Alcohol Ink technique on glossy paper (12 X 12). The alcohol ink colors I used are Bottle, Denim, Sail Boat Blue, Lettuce,Purple Twilight, Eggplant and Silver. I matted the photos with black and turquoise cardstock. And I used various clock and time stamps with Archival Ink to make a pattern. I added some ruffled trim that I used Lavender Fields Tattered Angel Glimmer Mist on, some Webster's Pages velvet ribbon, a Prima rose, a Petaloo flower, Thickers in Lullaby, and a Tim Holtz clock and game spinners.

Here is a close up of the background with the flower cluster and title.
