13 Days of Halloween - Day 7!

Hello, all! It's Day 7 of the 13 Days of Halloween over at Simply Challenged Challenges!

Today's challenge is Grave Digger...create a Graveyard Scene!

To see other DT inspiration and participate in the challenge, please visit the SCC Blog.

This is the graveyard scene I created:

The Graveyard. I used several of the Sweet Gothic Kids images from Simply B Stamps - Franken Scott, Witchy Wednesday, and Vampiress Tilly. The structure for this is made of chipboard. I then covered the structure with some Moxxie papers I had in my stash. The tombstones were cut with my Cricut and the Oct. 31 cartridge, then inked with Peeled Paint and Black Soot Distress Inks. The pumpkins were cut out from a different sheet of Moxxie paper. The images were colored with Copics.

This was such a fun project for me! I hope you'll join in the challenge!

Simply Challenged Challenge - Sept 14 - Fall or School Themed

Hello, everyone! It's time for another fun and fabulous Simply Challenged Challenge!

September is the officially noted as the month when school starts and fall rolls in! So for this challenge, we want you to create a fall or school themed project!

This month's Challenge is Fall / School inspired Theme. Use any SBS image and join in on the fun!

School started for us here in August so I chose to create something fall themed. I am so ready for fall to get here! This is what I created:

Cute As a Pumpkin Card. This cutie is Pumpkin Wagon Jude. I love his wagon full of pumpkins and that he is holding one.

Supplies: Image and sentiment from Simply B Stamps, papers from Recollections Night and Fall stack, and cardstock. Image colored with Copics.

Come on over to the Simply Challenged Challenges Blog and participate in all the fun!

Jude & the Rockers Halloween Blog Hop

Hello, all! We're having a little fun with the new Jude and the Rockers Halloween collection today! Come join in on the Simply B Stamps blog hop to celebrate the impending arrival of Halloween and the recent release of these awesome stamps! I know I can't wait for the 31st of October and anything Halloween is welcome! Lol.

These are the cards that I created with the Jude & the Rockers Halloween stamps:

Frightful! Card. This little guy is Little Skeleton Oscar. I love his little skeleton costume and used the bones as a theme for the card so I used paper that showed a skeleton's ribs for a background.

Happy Halloween Card. This is Little Pumpkin Lilly. She is the cutest pumpkin! My daughters both had pumpkin costumes as babies and this reminds me of these wonderful times.

Boo Card. Here is Little Bat Ali. She's a cheeky one! And I loved coloring in her striped outfit!

RAWR! Card. This is Little Monster Jude. He is the most adorable monster and I don't think he could frighten anyone but he'll do his best I'm sure ;)

Beware Card. Here is Dark Fairy Brittany. I love her face, full of mischief. She may be a fairy but there's nothing sweet and innocent about her!

Trick or Treat Card. This adorable witch is Little Witch Ariel. I love her sweet and innocent look (completely opposite of her above friend). She is such a darling witch and I must admit this is my favorite of all the cards I created.

Day 25 (7) - 31 (12) Days of Halloween

Hello, all! Here is the project for both the 25th Day of 31 Days of Halloween over at Smeared and Smudged and the 7th day of Halloween over at Simply Betty Stamps.

On the seventh day of Halloween...
...My true love gave to me
Seven pumpkins glowing
Six goblins gobbling
Five scary spooks!
Four skeletons
Three black cats
Two trick or treaters
And an owl in a rotten oak tree!

Carve Out Memories Card. This card is made of papers from the DCWV Autumn Splendor paper pack. The photo is one I took of a pumpkin we hat on our porch last year. I used a boy digi from Simply Betty Stamps and pumpkin digis from Smeared Ink and borrowed from the Internet. The alphas are Thickers and I added some Stickles in Orange Peel to give the pumpkins a little shine.

Day 14 - 31 Days of Halloween

Hello, all! Today is Day 14 of the 31 Days of Halloween. And I have a Nightmare Before Christmas inspired frame for you today! I got this cork frame at Wal-mart for a couple of bucks, and painted it black with Adirondack paint.

Jack and Sally Frame. The "Jack" and "Sally" stamps are from Simply Betty Stamps; the moon and tombstone are from Tiddly Inks; and the pumpkin is from Smeared Ink. I colored them all using my Copics. The moss and branch/tree are from my Scraps of Darkness kits. My eldest daughter saw this frame while I was making it and before the glue was dried, she had already claimed it for herself! Lol.

Day 6 - 31 Days of Halloween

Hello, all! Day 6 of the 31 Days of Halloween over at the Smeared Ink Blog! And today's project is an altered frame I picked up for $1 at a craft store.

Unfinished Wood Frame.

Pumpkin Boy Frame. The stamp I used for this frame is Roly Poly Pumpkin from The Octopode Factory. I colored him with with Copics and attached him to the frame which I painted with Peeled Paint Crackle Paint. I attached leaves from some silk flowers I tore apart and some flowers (I don't remember the manufacturer). The letters are glitter stickers from my stash. I also added a plastic spider ring for some Halloween goodness!

Pick a Pumpkin, or Two - Smudgy Antics Challenge & S.O.D.

If you're looking for Day 3 of the 31 Days of Halloween, it's the post below this one.

Hello, all! It's time for another Smudgy Antics Challenge! This week the challenge is called "Pick a Pumpkin, Or Two". The description of the challenge is below:

Time for a new weekly challenge! We're getting in the mood for fall and Halloween with this one, and our wonderful DT members have made some amazing projects yet again. We hope you enjoy them!

As always, here's a reminder about the rules:

*Each Monday morning a new challenge will be posted. It will contain that week's theme and prize information.

*To participate, you must make a project that fits the theme and add it to the post using the Inlinkz linky. Your link must take us directly to your project on a publicly accessible blog or website, or it will be disqualified - so please make sure you're linking to your actual post. It must be linked by midnight on the following Saturday, Pacific Time. This gives you six days to complete the challenge.

*Your project can be anything (card, scrapbook page, mixed media, altered or 3-D item, etc) as long as it is handmade and stamped somewhere with either a rubber or digital stamp. We have taken into consideration our digital artist fans and will be allowing all-digi projects. Feel free to think outside the box and have fun with your project! We are all about looking at things differently and look forward to the variety of projects and mediums we are sure to see.

*You must use AT LEAST 1 Smeared Ink image on your project. You are allowed to use anything else that you like.

*The weekly winner will be chosen by random number and revealed on Sunday. Prizes will vary and may range from a free digi to a coupon to a blog badge.

So let's get to it! Here's this week's info.

The Challenge:

PICK A PUMPKIN OR TWO

The theme says it all....have fun with it!

Here is my sample for this challenge!

Pumpkin Picking Layout. The pumpkin stamps are from Smeared Ink. I used Copics to color the pumpkins in. Everything else I used on this page is from my September Scraps of Darkness Passages Kit. The paper is from Teresa Collins Traveler Collection. The flowers are from Prima's Conventry Rose and Flower Market Collections in Londonerry. I split one of the cork circles from the kit to use as bases for the flowers. I added some stitching with my We R Memory Keepers Sew Easy Tool and embroidery floss. I added some Prima Toggle  Bobbin Wood Buttons, Teresa Collins World Traveler Brads, and Bo Bunny Et Cetera Chipboard Alphas colored with Copics. I also inked all the papers' edges with Spiced Marmalade Distress Ink.
