Jude & the Rockers Halloween Blog Hop

Hello, all! We're having a little fun with the new Jude and the Rockers Halloween collection today! Come join in on the Simply B Stamps blog hop to celebrate the impending arrival of Halloween and the recent release of these awesome stamps! I know I can't wait for the 31st of October and anything Halloween is welcome! Lol.

These are the cards that I created with the Jude & the Rockers Halloween stamps:

Frightful! Card. This little guy is Little Skeleton Oscar. I love his little skeleton costume and used the bones as a theme for the card so I used paper that showed a skeleton's ribs for a background.

Happy Halloween Card. This is Little Pumpkin Lilly. She is the cutest pumpkin! My daughters both had pumpkin costumes as babies and this reminds me of these wonderful times.

Boo Card. Here is Little Bat Ali. She's a cheeky one! And I loved coloring in her striped outfit!

RAWR! Card. This is Little Monster Jude. He is the most adorable monster and I don't think he could frighten anyone but he'll do his best I'm sure ;)

Beware Card. Here is Dark Fairy Brittany. I love her face, full of mischief. She may be a fairy but there's nothing sweet and innocent about her!

Trick or Treat Card. This adorable witch is Little Witch Ariel. I love her sweet and innocent look (completely opposite of her above friend). She is such a darling witch and I must admit this is my favorite of all the cards I created.

Mourning Glory - Smudgy Antics Challenge

Hello, all! I hope everyone had a lovely holiday with their family and friends. It's time for another Smudgy Antics Challenge. This week's challenge is "Mourning Glory."

Here is the challenge write up over at Smudgy Antics:

I hope everyone that celebrates it had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday! We have another challenge for you this week and we can't wait to see what you come up with!

Here's a reminder about the rules:

*Each Monday morning a new challenge will be posted. It will contain that week's theme and prize information.

*To participate, you must make a project that fits the theme and add it to the post using the Inlinkz linky. Your link must take us directly to your project on a publicly accessible blog or website, or it will be disqualified - so please make sure you're linking to your actual post. It must be linked by midnight on the following Saturday, Pacific Time. This gives you six days to complete the challenge.

*Your project can be anything (card, scrapbook page, mixed media, altered or 3-D item, etc) as long as it is handmade and stamped somewhere with either a rubber or digital stamp. We have taken into consideration our digital artist fans and will be allowing all-digi projects. Feel free to think outside the box and have fun with your project! We are all about looking at things differently and look forward to the variety of projects and mediums we are sure to see.

*You may use any stamped image, however only projects using at least one Smeared Ink image will be eligible to win a prize. Encourage your crafty friends to come play with us!

*You can only enter and qualify for a prize if you are, or become, a follower of the blog. While you're at it, why not visit the forum as well for more challenges?

*The weekly winner will be chosen by random number and revealed on Sunday. Prizes will vary and may range from a free digi to a coupon to a blog badge.

So let's get to it! Here's this week's info.

The Challenge: Mourning Glory

(make a project using graves, churchyards, etc.)

Here is my DT example for this challenge:

Mourn 8 X 8 Layout. As some of you know already, I like visiting old cemeteries and taking photos of tombstones. This is another photo of mine for my cemetery album. I used papers from the DCWV Ghosts & Goblins paper pack. The skeletons stamp is from Smeared Ink. The flowers are from Prima. I added some Liquid Pearls in Cantaloupe on the alphas, which are Thickers and as dots on the flourishes.

I hope you all will join in on the challenge!

Day 4 of 12 Days of Halloween

For Day 23 of the 31 Days of Halloween, see the post below.

Hello, all! Here we are for the 3rd Day of Halloween over at Simply Betty Stamps.

On the fourth day of Halloween...
...My true love gave to me
Four Skeletons
Three black cats
Two trick or treaters
And an owl in a rotten oak tree!

Cute Skelly Layout. This is my son when he was about nine months old with one of his toys, a monkey Skelanimal. This page is really simple and I used a sketch from Creative Scrappers for it. The papers and stickers are all from the Apothecary line from Echo Park. The skeletons are from Bombshell Stamps.

Day 23 (3) - 31 (12) Days of Halloween

Hello, all! Lots of preparations still going on around here for Halloween. Lots of decorating and shopping still to do. You know I've been thinking I should really get a black Christmas tree and decorate it every year as a Halloween Tree. I think it would be a lot of fun and one more reason to buy more Halloween decorations! Lol. So today is the 23rd Day of Halloween for Smeared and Smudged and I'll be sharing the project I made for Days 3 of the 12 Days of Halloween over at Simply Betty Stamps.

On the third day of Halloween...
...My true love gave to me
Three black cats
Two trick or treaters
And an owl in a rotten oak tree!

Many Shades of Black Card. I used my Scraps of Darkness Oct. All Hallows Eve kit for this card. The paper is from Fancy Pants, cardstock from Bazzill, and the bling from Zva Creative. The stamps are (from left to right) a freebie from Ike given out on October 8, 2011, a digi from Simply Betty Stamps, and a digi from the Octopode Factory. The flowers are from Prima, the alphas from Thickers, and the rub ons are from Kaisercraft.  I inked the edges with Black Soot Distress Ink.
