Zombie! --- Zombie Bride That Is.

Hello, everyone! I hope you all had a magnificent 4th of July! I'm here today to share an image from Simply B Stamps for a new release. Betty is releasing to adorable and fantastic images with word art. The word art is created by Christian, Betty's son and this whole line will be a collaboration with him, with Zombie Betty as the mascot. Go visit the SBS Blog so you can get all the details.

Due to time constraints, I only got to create with one of these awesome images, BUT it was a whole lot of fun. So check it out!

This one here is Till Death Betty Oval. This helps focus on what a lovely bride she is!

This one here is a combination of Zombie Bride Betty, some word art, and the coffin that comes in the set. Really had fun with the graffiti word art! Wish you could really see how bright it came out in real life.

This is Till Death Zombie Bride Betty. She comes with the word art already attached.

Go check out the rest of the SBS DT Blogs, to see both images and all the amazing varied creations they made: Here's a list to make it easy for you.

Hi, everyone! It's my first showcase for the month of February. This month the SBS DT is showcasing the Gods in Love Collection. This is such a fun collection for any love-themed project. Just check out this cheeky lady: Betty Medusa!

For this card, I used the DCWV stack called The Lemon Flower Stack. I combined papers from that stack with some Hot Pink cardstock. The image is colored with Copics and I added some Lime Liquid Pearls.

Go Green - My Treasure

Hello, all! It's March and St. Patty's Day is around the corner. I always scrap a couple of green layouts around this time of year. I finished this one yesterday. I am entering it in a few challenges over at scrapbook.com and a challenge over at Paper Issues. I am also using it as a sample for my very own Steampunk Challenge at scrapbook.com. I hope you enjoy it. It's little bit of fun I had with green and gold.

My Treasure Layout. This is a photo of my son when he was a little over a year old. He was wearing green and my favorite overalls on him. I decided that the green shirt made this photo fitting for some Irish colors. The chipboard gears are from Dusty Attic and are painted with Adirondack Gold Paint. The flourishes were made by me, using gold and green liquid pearls. The flowers are from Prima and the stamps are from Inkadinkado. The alphas are from Thickers. The papers are from Moxxie.

Day 17, Smudy Antics Challenge & Scraps of Darkness

Hello, all! It's Day 17 of the 31 Days of Halloween! And today is another fun Smudgy Antics Challenge! So I created a layout with my Scraps of Darkness October - All Hallows Eve Kit including a Smeared Ink stamp for today! The Smudgy Antics Weekly Challenge this week is Skull Time! Here is a photo of one of my favorite tv families: The Munsters. Can you guess what other family was a favorite of mine? Lol. You'll be seeing them some time this month, too.

The Munsters Layout. I used my Scraps of Darkness All Hallows Eve kit for this page, including some Pink Paislee Phantom papers, Kaisercraft acetate shapes and rub ons, and some Fancy Pants Oct 31 Witching Hour paper. The skull stamp is from Smeared Ink. I love how gruesome it is compared to the "pretty-ness" of the layout. The trims are from my stash of Websters Pages products. The flowers are Petaloo Color Me Crazy misted with a mixture of Shimmerz Hermit the Frog Mist and Lindy's Stamp Gang Yellow Rose of Texas, and some Petaloo Black flowers. I used Lime Green Stickles for some dots and printed out the title from my computer. I will be entering this page to the Monochrome Challenge at scrapbook.com for the Lime Green week.

~*~Scraps of Darkness August Reveal~*~

Hello, all! It's reveal day for August at Scraps of Darkness! This month's kit is called Envy and as you can see from the photo of the main kit below, there are two reasons for this: one, most of the papers are green (Green with Envy); and two, everyone is going to be envious of you if you have this kit! Lol! Full of Kaisercraft papers in gorgeous damasks and leaf patterns and lush greens, this kit is perfect for romantic, elegant, outdoorsy, and heritage pages! This kit sparked my creativity and I finished four pages in 2 days!
Scraps of Darkness August Kit - Envy.

Scraps of Darkness August Sketch by suepup (Charlotte).

Pa Layout. This is my page based on the August Scraps of Darkness Sketch. The photo is of my grandfather, who I called Pa. He was a soldier in WWII. I really loved the greens of this kit and some of the darker ones reminded me of the old Army green uniforms soldiers wore a long time ago. I wanted to create a page of my grandpa to go into my heritage album. I used some fern leaves from the kit, one Prima Parfait Collection flower in Wintergreen (colored with Lindy's Stamp Gang Mist in Ponderosa Pine Olive), Petaloo Canterbury Flowers in Lime, and some flourished made by me with Liquid Pearls in Bisque and some acrylic. I also used some Peeled Paint Crackle Paint and Distress Ink in Crushed Olive. I used one of Pink Paislee Mistables - Cut Tags colored with DI in Crushed Olive and some Versa Magic Ink in Hint of Pesto over some white foam Thickers alphas. (For the Heritage, Monochrome (Bottle Green), Paints and Mists, and Technique Challenges over at scrapbook.com).

Bad Girl Layout. This is our newest addition to our family, Princess Charlotte Augustine aka Lottie. She looks so sweet; like an angel in her sleep.... but she is such a Bad Girl! Lol. If she isn't chewing on something, she is running around terrorizing our other dog, Attila. I decided to scrap this photo showing her in her sweetest form and make the colors reflect that but wanted to add a contradictory title. I used plenty of flowers from the kit, along with some bling and flower stems also from the kit. I fussy cut some of the papers and made it as frilly and girly as I could. (For the Colour, Scrap Your Pet, and Lyrics Challenges at scrapbook.com).

Sketch from Sketchy Thursdays - Sketch 8.4.

Pout Layout. These are my two lovely daughters goofing off while we were waiting at a restaurant. I used the sketch from August 4th for this page and I wanted to go darker for this one. I used water distressing on the edges of the black paper and splattered it with Lindy's Stamp Gang Mist in Ghouly Gargoyle White and Witch's Potion Purple  along with some white and purple acrylic paint. I added some silver liquid pearls and some half circles of paper from a previous Scraps of Darkness kit. I added some Pink Paislee Mistables Fuzzy Vinyl Stickers misted with the same purple mist. The title letters are vinyl Thickers. (For the Monochrome {Plum} Challenge at scrapbook.com).

Angel Layout. This is a photo of my niece, Tawney, when she was first born. I wanted to scrap her photo with a lot of delicate colors but still have some steampunk accents in here without losing the femininity of it all. I colored the chipboard and metal pieces with Pearl Adirondack paint then covered them with Lindy's Stamp Gang Magicals. The frame and figure are stamps from Tiddly Inks. (For the  Escape Kitty Family & friends Challenge and my every own Steampunk Challenge at scrapbook.com).

Angel Close Up. Here is a close up of the flower cluster and Steampunker stamp from Tiddly Inks. I colored her with my Copic markers. The gears and clock are colored with Pearl Adirondack paint and Lindy's Stamp Gang Magicals.

Stalker Challenge and 12 Layouts of Alice #3

Hello, all! I've finally had a little time to sit down at my desk and scrap! And here are a few layouts I want to share with you for various challenges. This first page is for the Stalker Challenge over at Scraps of Darkness. The challenge is to scrap your favorite artist and I chose Katy Perry. She is ONE of my favorites because her songs are so much fun. It didn't hurt that this photo of her went perfectly with this month's Scraps of Darkness kit - Now and Zen! Lol!

Katy Perry Layout. I completed this page for the Stalker Challenge over at the Scraps of Darkness forum and this is the artist I chose. I find her songs fun to listen to. Everything on this, except for the Thickers title, liquid pearls, leaves, and Stickles are from the May Scraps of Darkness kit - Now and Zen. I went Mist Crazy with this one and used Lindy's Stamp Gang Mists in Alpine Ice Rose, Delphinium Turquoise, and Witch's Potion Purple. I also used Shimmerz paint in Wed Wagon. The purple flowers are form Petaloo and the purple crystal trim and the birds are from Prima. The leaves were cut out from cardstock from the kit, misted with Ranger Perfect Pearls green mist and had Stickles dots placed on them. This page is also for the Alternative Challenge over at scrapbook.com which had a twist of using paint.

Seafaring Layout. This page is for the Monochrome Challenge at scrapbook.com for Ruby Week this month. I chose this awesome paper from the DCWV paper pack - Nantucket. I used some flowers, brads, and Thickers that I have had in my stash for over 6 months. The photos are of the lighthouse in my home town and a pirate ship that docks near there.

Jabberwocky Layout. This page is for the Darker Side Challenge I host over at scrapbook.com. This month's theme is poetry and I used the Jabberwocky poem from Alice in Wonderland. This is also for my 12 Layouts of Alice and based on Tim Holtz's 12 Tags of Christmas 2010 Tag #3, the Monochrome Challenge Emerald Week, the ABC Challenge, and the Technique Challenge. The flowers are made of vellum using the Tim Holtz Tattered Roses die. The tree is cut out using my Cricut Expression and the October 31 cartridge. The moss is from a previous Scraps of Darkness kit.

Blue, Green, and Orange!

Hello, all! I cannot believe it but I actually finished all the challenges I signed up for this month over at scrapbook.com! And early, too! So now I am looking for new challenges to take and ideas for some more layouts. Here are a few pages from me with the same color combination. I was really feeling these colors this week! And I actually created more pages in this color combo than I'm sharing since those others are for submissions for a magazine. So here we go!

The More That You Read... layout. This is for the Dr. Seuss, Colour, and Scraplift 101 Challenges over at scrapbook.com. For the Dr. Seuss Challenge, you had to use a Seuss quote or related topic. For the Colour Challenge, you had to use Blue, Lime Green, and Orange as your palette. And for the Scraplift 101, this is a lift of Exploring the Land in Epcot by Godschild94. The photos are of my son (my daughter is in there a bit, too) after school on March 2nd, Dr. Suess' birthday. They had celebrated at school by reading the book Green Eggs and Ham and eating real green eggs and ham! He was so excited when he got home that I took out all the Dr. Seuss books my daughter's had from storage to give to him. He's been reading them non-stop!

The More That You Read (1)...Close-Up. I used some DCWV Animal Crackers papers and photos I took that day, plus added the little announcement all the kids in my son's class got for this day.

The More That You Read (2)...Close-Up. More photos of my son reading his "new" books. I used Thickers in various styles to make up the long title. I colored them with Adirondack Alcohol Inks in Sailboat Blue, Lettuce, and Sunset Orange. I used my Cricut Expression on all the stars.

Sketchy Thursdays Sketch for 3-24-2011.

The Pier layout. This is my take on the Sketchy Thursday sketch for 3-24-2011. The photos are of my son and niece, and of a restaurant called The Pier we stopped at on our mini vacation to visit relatives. The shark is real, just stuffed, and it was caught from the boat pictured at the top. I used my Cricut Expression on the stars and Stickles in Lime Green, Waterfall, and Orange Peel. The paper is from the Where the Heart Is Paper Pack from My Mind's Eye.

Night at the Pier layout. I had so many pictures of this occasion that I decided to make a second page to the sketch layout. I used the same paper pack and Stickles to complete this one as well.
