Punky Scraps is Back Blog Hop!

For the Mad Tea Party post, please scroll down or click here.

We are back soon and here is what we have in store for you.....
  • Smaller Punky Teams
  • Blog Hop
  • New Quirky Challenges
  • Fabulously Punky Prizes
  • Special Guests
  • The chance to win a guest spot each month
  • a chance to win a spot on THE REBEL TEAM!!

Hello, all! I am so happy to announce that the Punky Scraps Challenge Blog is back! Everyone had a nice, and some a well-deserved, vacation. Now, most of us are back to continue with the fun! I have collected a few of my layouts with some of my favorite techniques on them to share with you.

Baby Mine Layout. In this layout, the technique I used was masking. I used opaque white ink to ink over a clock mask to give the page a dreamy look. I love masks because they can be so versatile and can be of great use when wanting to add layering.

Eva Layout. In this layout, the favorite technique is misting. I used misting on the fans to change them into colors that I found more appealling. I use mists to change the colors of papers, flowers, ribbons, and other embellishments to get a better match.

Hatter Layout. Here I used glazing to make everything a predominant red. The page was for a monochromatic challenge and I really wanted to make sure that everything that was red was the same color. I used Tattered Angels Glimmer Glam in Be Positive here.

Pa Layout. Probably my all-time favorite technique in scrapping is making flourishes with Liquid Pearls. I use Liquid Pearls and craft plastic to make my own flourishes to match my layouts. If you see my work often, you'll see that I use them a lot.

For the Mad Tea Party Post, please scroll down to the next post.

Hello, all!  Today's event is as follows:

Today's challenge is the '100m Zombie Chase'. Just create a project featuring an SBS image, along with a running and zombie theme. It's open to interpretation, so have fun with it!

Here is my sample for inspiration:

Training for the Zombie Apocalypse Layout. These are photos of my son and husband running races in our driveway. I thought they'd be perfect for the zombie chase event, since our family is always talking about "what if there is a zombie apocalypse?" Lol. The stamps are Run 4 The Cause Betty from Simply B Stamps, which I did three of (two "zombies" and one Betty running for her life!).

Supplies: papers from MAMBI and Martha Stewart, white cardstock, Copics, and foam alphas from Thickers.

Copics: "zombie" Betties: C5, N0, N2, N4, N6, W00, W1

Copics: "regular" Betty: B29, B63, B66, E11, R02, R29, R59, RV69

Mad Tea Party 2012!

Hello, all! It's finally here! The 5th Annual 'A Fanciful Twist' Mad Tea Party! Click here to visit Vanessa at A Fanciful Twist, to see her magical tea party, and the long list of others who are participating with their own online tea parties!

This is my third time participating, and I can tell you that it's loads of fun. I love seeing all the creativity that everyone comes up with; not only with food, treats, and decorations, but also with stories, prizes, and crafts. I do hope you will enjoy yourself here and every other stop in this party hop!

Welcome to Scrap Vamp's Tea Party!

First thing first, let me introduce you to the guest's on my list.

The Queen of Hearts:

The Mad Hatter:

Here are the Queen and Hatter, with the Hatter being his silly self!

The White Rabbit and the Cheshire Cat:

Here are the White Rabbit & Cheshire Cat with Alice!

An Un-Birthday Party Guest:

The Ace of Spades:

The March Hare:

A Pink Flamingo (taking a break from playing croquet):

And The Tweedles (Dee and Dum; don't know which is which):

Now that you have met everyone, let the party commence! Here we see the beautiful Alice peeking out from behind the table decorations!

With all the mounds of decorations and food, it's a wonder we can see anyone at all!

The hedgehog is hiding today, so that no one decides to use him as a croquet ball.

We have a lovely topiary cake that may be a bit askew, but it tastes wonderfully just the same! Inside the layers are chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry with creamy & sweet butter cream icing... Yum! Have a slice or maybe two, there's a lot to go around!

These little playing cards are standing in formation, ready for someone to snack on them.

Alice is busy readying a crown. Could it be a gift for the queen or one for herself? The Tres Leches Trifle near her sure looks delicious, and those sandwiches, too. Help yourself!

Have a cup of tea or two, along with all the treats, before you take your leave. I hope that you enjoyed your visit here and that you'll stop by some time to catch up!

Now for a little project that I created especially for this occasion!

I created this mini album using the Alice in Wonderland collection of stamps from Simply B Stamps. If you look carefully in the tea party pictures, you may spy these characters on the table here and there. This little book is up for grabs! Just become a follower, or let me know that you are already a follower, and leave a comment. I will use random.org to choose a winner on August 1st, which will give everyone enough time to stop by! Thank you for visiting!

SBS Tumbling Buddy Exchange #1

Hello, everyone! Today I have a fun blog hop for you to participate in! The ladies over at the Simply B Stamps Fan Group on Facebook decided to have a Tumbling Buddy Exchange. This like a Secret Santa, where we are paired off and we fill a tumbler will scrappy goodies and sweets for our "tumbling buddy." The list of blogs below will take you to everyone's blogs so that you may see what great things everyone got.
My Tumbling Buddy was Kelly Smith and look at the wonderful things she filled my tumbler with!

Look at the loads and loads of buttons, brads, and beads! I love shiny things! Lol. The tumbler is a wonderfully summery color scheme of greens and yellows, the flower-patterned ribbon is sweet as can be, and the charms are going to come in handy!

These are the fabulous treats my buddy gave to me. I have never seen the Rhubarb & Custard candies or the Rocky Road Rice Krispies before. So cool!  And delicious! My kids loved the Sherbet Lemons candy!

Thank you so much, Kelly, for the wonderful tumbler and treats!!!

Thanks, everyone for stopping by. I hope you'll take a look at all the wonderful gifts that were exchanged!
