Mad Tea Party 2012!

Hello, all! It's finally here! The 5th Annual 'A Fanciful Twist' Mad Tea Party! Click here to visit Vanessa at A Fanciful Twist, to see her magical tea party, and the long list of others who are participating with their own online tea parties!

This is my third time participating, and I can tell you that it's loads of fun. I love seeing all the creativity that everyone comes up with; not only with food, treats, and decorations, but also with stories, prizes, and crafts. I do hope you will enjoy yourself here and every other stop in this party hop!

Welcome to Scrap Vamp's Tea Party!

First thing first, let me introduce you to the guest's on my list.

The Queen of Hearts:

The Mad Hatter:

Here are the Queen and Hatter, with the Hatter being his silly self!

The White Rabbit and the Cheshire Cat:

Here are the White Rabbit & Cheshire Cat with Alice!

An Un-Birthday Party Guest:

The Ace of Spades:

The March Hare:

A Pink Flamingo (taking a break from playing croquet):

And The Tweedles (Dee and Dum; don't know which is which):

Now that you have met everyone, let the party commence! Here we see the beautiful Alice peeking out from behind the table decorations!

With all the mounds of decorations and food, it's a wonder we can see anyone at all!

The hedgehog is hiding today, so that no one decides to use him as a croquet ball.

We have a lovely topiary cake that may be a bit askew, but it tastes wonderfully just the same! Inside the layers are chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry with creamy & sweet butter cream icing... Yum! Have a slice or maybe two, there's a lot to go around!

These little playing cards are standing in formation, ready for someone to snack on them.

Alice is busy readying a crown. Could it be a gift for the queen or one for herself? The Tres Leches Trifle near her sure looks delicious, and those sandwiches, too. Help yourself!

Have a cup of tea or two, along with all the treats, before you take your leave. I hope that you enjoyed your visit here and that you'll stop by some time to catch up!

Now for a little project that I created especially for this occasion!

I created this mini album using the Alice in Wonderland collection of stamps from Simply B Stamps. If you look carefully in the tea party pictures, you may spy these characters on the table here and there. This little book is up for grabs! Just become a follower, or let me know that you are already a follower, and leave a comment. I will use random.org to choose a winner on August 1st, which will give everyone enough time to stop by! Thank you for visiting!

C.S.I.? & Wonderland

Hello, all! Who would have thought that C.S.I. could tie in so beautifully to the scrapbooking world! Today I want to share a project I completed for a new site. My fellow Diva from scrapbook.com, Drea, showed me this new scrapbooking site called C.S.I. (Color.Stories.Inspiration.). Each week this site posts "Case Files" that give you a chosen inspirational image, color palette, elements, and journaling ques. Fabulous and fun!

CSI is a weekly scrapbooking challenge that inspires you to try new colors schemes and to tell your stories. Our Case Files provide inspiration that will get you thinking about scrapbooking in a whole new way.

CSI is all about inspiration and sharing and, most important, fun! We can't wait to see the stories you'll tell and the art you'll create!

Tonight at 11:59 p.m. is the deadline for this week's challenge and I only just found out about the site this morning. But once I saw the case file, I had to complete a LO for it! Lol. Here is my page for Case File 01.

Wonderland Layout.  Case File 01. This is something I am MAD about. The journaling reads, "I can admit that ever since I was a little girl I've had an obsession with everything related to Alice in Wonderland. And now that I am grown, I can finally indulge in that obsession." The photo is of the tea party I had on June 25, 2010. I used pins, numbers, repeated stamp on background, and tea cup accents. I documented something mad and wrote the journaling on a tag (behind the top hat).

Wonderland Close Up. This is a close up of the Wonderland layout that shows the flower cluster, some of the tea cup embellishments, top hat, pins, pocket watch, and tag.

Tea Time Tuesday 3-1-2011

Hello, all! And welcome to another Tea Time Tuesday! Today I have a page based on a sketch from Pages in Time's Blog Thursday sketches. I know today is the first day of March and spring is just around the corner, so I decided to create something with the March Hare! I have to admit that I love the newest version of the March Hare from Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland! He is so adorabley nuts!

Here is the Thursday sketch from Pages in Times' blog:
Pages in Time Thursday Sketch for February 24, 2011.

March is the Perfect Time 4 Tea layout. I flipped the sketch upside down and added photos of a tea set I have, bought long ago on a whim, that I love so much! I used Graphic 45 Hallowe'en in Wonderland papers and some tea pot and cup stamps with Peeled Paint Distress Ink and Lime Green Stickles. The title letters are from two different sets of Thickers, one which I covered in Lime Green Stickles. The image of the March Hare is from the movie which I got off the Internet.
