Simply B Stamps - Betty Villians Release!

Hello, all! Today is a special day! Today, Simply B Stamps is having a special release of 4 special images! The Betty Villians! These stamps are the coolest! I LOVE them! All four of them are favorite characters of mine and they sure do inspire me to have fun!

You Little Devil Card. This is Betty Maleficent. She is so awesome! I love her staff of power and horned crown!

Supplies: cards from DCWV Once Upon a Time stack, flourishes from my stash, a Simply B Stamps sentiment, cardstock, and Copics.

Feeling a bit Devilish? Card. This is Betty Cruella! She's awesome! From her half and half hair to her fur coat!

Supplies: Papers from DCWV, sentiment from Simply B Stamps, cardstock, tissue paper, brads, and Copics.

You're My Soul Mate Card. This is Betty Ursula. She might just be my favorite from these four, but it's hard to decide. Her evil gleam is telling and I love that she's making a potion.

Supplies: cardstock, papers from Graphic 45, liquid pearls, craft plastic, sentiment from Simply B Stamps, flowers from Prima and Petaloo, and Copics.

You're the Apple of My Eye Card. This is Betty Wicked Witch. I love that she has an apple in her hand. I had to add a "mirror" to this card. It's only fitting. Lol.

Supplies: paper from DCWV, metallic paper, sentiment from Simply B Stamps, flowers from Prima, rhinestone frame from my stash, cardstock, and Copics.

You really must check out the rest of the DT creations for this release; they are awesome!

To check out the stamps and to make a purchase, stop by Simply B Stamps!

Day 12 - 31 Days of Halloween

Hello, all! I hope this 12th Day of the 31 Days of Halloween finds you well! Today I have a cute project to share with you. Every year after Halloween is over, I stalk the clearance sections of my local stores and buy a bunch of Halloween decorations and miscellaneous items. Last year, I bought a bunch of these little tin pails for about a quarter each and I decided to make one over for the 31 Days of Halloween.

Witchy Treat Pail. I covered the bucket with papers from the Recollections Ravenhead Manor collection. The witch stamp is Hallo Witch from The Greeting Farm. I colored her with my Copics and cut her out.

I made some liquid pearl flourishes that I stuck on the pail with glossy accents and the pumpkin stickers are some I found at Wal-mart a couple of years back.
The lace trim is from Recollections and the ribbons are from my ever-growing ribbon stash.

Here is a close up of Hallo Witch. She is such a cutie!

Day 10 - 31 Days of Halloween

Hello, all! It's Day 10 of the 31 Days of Halloween over at Smeared and Smudged! And here's another Halloween card for you! This one has a gorgeous image from Simply Betty Stamps called Witchy Wednesday. She's so pretty!

Halloween Party Card. I wanted to make Witchy Wednesday a bit on the glamorous side for this card. She's going to a party after all. So I added a lot of Stickles to her and the card. Even her kitty has some glitter! I don't remember which company makes the papers or the clear sticker I used since I've had these for a while now. I colored the stamps with my Copics and added some shear purple ribbon from my stash. Then I thought she could use a starry night and added an old star barrette that my daughters had from a long time ago and the Stickle stars for her.

Punky Scraps Challenge 23

Hello, all! As you know, I am a GDT member for Punky Scraps this month. Here is my take on Punky Scraps' Challenge #23.

Below is the description of the challenge:

The Team B gurlies have picked random techniques, products, etc. for you to combine and create something fun and The Team A gurlies are scrapping with them......are you confused? :) . Here is what the Team B rebels have picked:

Michelle - Use photos of items, no people.
Camilla - 3 circles
Elin - Use Turquoise
Mandy - Stitching (real or doodled)
Nat - Use Red.
Jess - Use 1 or more staples

Don't Make Me Get My Flying Monkeys Layout.  I used my Special Edition Scraps of Darkness - Over the Rainbow kit for this and I used all the "ingredients" set by Team B at Punky Scraps. I also combined a couple other challenges in with Punky Scraps Challenge #23, including the Technique Challenge over at scrapbook.com (use border punches, color blending, and chipboard), and the Skeletons in the Closet Challenge over at Scraps of Darkness (photo of inanimate object, a famous saying to combine with the photo, journaling to explain the connection to your life). I used my We R Memory Keepers Sew Easy Tool for the stitching, a bat border punch from EK Success, my Cricut Expression to cut out the circles, Distress Inks in Fired Brick, Dusty Concord, and Broken China to create the ink blending effect, and fussy cut the witch's legs and flying monkeys. The papers are Graphic 45 Magic of Oz papers and the background paper is from the DCWV Blossom Song Stack. I also covered the chipboard shoes in Glitz Stickles (Ruby Slippers). The photo is of a new stuffed toy that I could not pass up. I love the Wicked Witch of the West, and other villainous characters. I identify with them and always feel like they may not have been all bad but might have experienced things that made them so. We are all shaped by our decisions and experiences. I imagine villains are, too. And I look back on my life and am glad that even though I've experienced some awful things and made bad decisions that I have not turned into a villain.
