Practical Magic Blog Party Winner!

Hello, all! First I wanted to announce the winner of my Practical Magic Blog Party Giveaway! I used a trusty number generator to pick the winner. Sorry that I haven't figured out how to get the actual number generator to show up here! Argh!

.............Well who could the winner be but........

Jaz, please email me at forevervampress@aol.com with your mailing address so I can send you your prize!

Now I would also like to share a few layouts I've been working on. Two are for examples to the challenges I host at scrapbook.com and the other I created for my Scraps of Darkness Guest Designer participation.

Steampunk Happy Halloween layout. This layout I created as an example for my Steampunk Challenge for October. the topic will be A Steampunk Halloween. Some of the images here are my own and others are from the internet. The background paper, "bat," moon, and lady are from my Scraps of Darkness September kit. The letters are Thickers. I hand cut the clouds and witch hat and added a fabric skirt to the lady.

And your Little Dog 2 layout. This layout is the example I created for the October Darker Side Challenge. I love the Wicked Witch of the West and I wanted to use her for this layout. I created my own Flying Monkey background with a stencil I made and Distress Ink in Peeled Paint. I cut the witch and her sister's feet from images I got from the internet. I made the larger black flowers out of fabric and added mini Prima roses. I used alcohol ink in Red Pepper to tint the Thickers alphas then covered them in Christmas Red Stickles because I wanted them to look like the ruby slippers. I also covered the flourishes in the same Stickles. The photo is of our beloved Max, who is not with us any more. We used to dress him up every Halloween and he let us!

Just Us Girls layout. This is a layout of my grandmother, two of her sisters, and one of her daughters on vacation in Mexico. I created this with two of my favorite papers from the Scraps of Darkness September kit, Modern Marvels and Fantasy Floral. I cut out as many of the roses as I could to use them as borders to the layout. I added pearl bling, a Thickers title, and some Stickles in Stardust on the roses.
