Simply Challenged - February 26 - No Lines!

Hello, all! The February 26th Challenge for SCC is another fabulously fun one! The technique for this challenge is one I had never used before and I was amazed at how much fun it was to use! I really like the look it gives. I hope you will all want to participate and try this!

The challenge is to use "no lines" in your image. For those of you who use digis, all you have to do is convert the image into a lighter color when printing. For those of you who use stamps, all you have to do is stamp the image in a neutral color such as light gray or beige. The lines will then disappear as you color. Sounds fun, right?!

Norse Gods Release Preview - Day 3!

Hello, everyone! It's day 3 of the preview for the Norse Gods from Simply B Stamps! These are such fabulously fun images! I hope you get your hands on some to create some amazing projects!

Today's previews will be of Lola as Sif and Rio as Hel,

In Norse mythology, Sif was the wife of Thor, the goddess associated with the earth. Hel was the goddess of the underworld, much like Hades is in Greek mythology. I think that is where the word "hell" comes from.

Here are my creations with these unusual and beautiful ladies:

Enjoy Life's Little Moments. This is Lola as Sif. I thought she would look lovely in some spring colors to go with the golden locks she is supposed to have.

It's Been One of Those Days. This is Rio as Hel. I thought of her as more earthy than deadly, that is why I went with brown instead of black for her colors.

Bubble, Bubble; Let's Get Into Some Trouble Card.  This is Miller Addams! He is such a creepy cutie! Love the potion bottle he is holding and the sinister look in his eyes. The papers and stickers are from Echo Park and the sentiment is from Simply B Stamps. Cardstock and ribbon from my stash. Image was colored with Copics.

 

You're A Cut Above the Rest Card. This is Scissorhands Rio! I think she is awesome! I love her sideways glance and hair! Papers are from Color Bok and sentiment is from Simply B Stamps. Cardstock and Liquid Pearls from my stash. Image colored with Copics.
