Day 3 - 31 Days of Halloween

Hello, all! So happy to be here on day three of the 31 Days of Halloween! Time for the last coffin in my nesting coffin set for the Day of the Dead. I'll show you the photos of the coffin and the three coffins as a set today.

Paper Mache Nesting Coffin Set.

Day of the Dead Nesting Coffin (Small - inside). I used paper from the Echo Park Apothecary Collection for the outside and purple craft paint for the inside.

Day of the Dead Nesting Coffin (Small). This is another Claveras digi stamp from Smeared Ink Stamps that I colored with Copics. I inked the edges of the coffin with Dusty Concord Distress Ink. The flowers are Petaloo Color Me Crazy flowers misted with Lindy's Stamp Gang mists: Witch's Potion Purple and Hag Wart Orange. The mini roses are from Prima.

Day 1 - 31 Days of Halloween

My first project is from a set of three. I bought these nesting paper mache coffins at a craft store and decided to decorate them for the Day of the Dead.

This is the set of paper mache coffins I bought.

Day of the Dead Coffin (Large - inside). I papered the inside and outside of the larger coffin with paper from the Echo Park Apothecary Collection.

Day of the Dead Coffin (Large). The papers I used to cover the coffin are from the awesome Apothecary Collection from Echo Park. I used the Calaveras digital stamp set from Smeared Ink and colored it with Copics. The flowers are Petaloo Color Me Crazy flowers, misted with an assortment of Lindy's Stamp Gang mists: Hag Wart Orange, Yellow Rose of Texas, Tibetan Poppy Teal, and Witch's Potion Purple. The red mist is Scarlet Tattered Angels mist.  I also inked around the edges of the coffin with Spiced Marmalade Distress Ink.
