Punky Scraps Challenge 51

Hello, all! It's Challenge 51 time at Punky Scraps! This challenge is another inspiration photo challenge and a get picky. I hope you'll come check it out and join in the fun!

Challenge 51:

The last challenge of this month:
1. Use a song title as your subtitle.
2. use 3 staples
3. use masking tape
4. stamp directly onto your paper
5. use a punch - any punch, even a hole punch
6. be inspired by this picture of Bob Dylan

This is what I came up with for this challenge!

Big Time Summer LO. These are photos of me and my daughter with the guys from Big Time Rush as a concert we attended last month. They are a bunch of cuties! I was inspired by the photo's color scheme and went all out with my mists and some paint. The staples on my layout are faux staples (actually punched out of paper), and the Superstar rub on at the bottom is actually one of BTR's song titles. The only thing that I didn't do from the list was to use masking tape! What do you think?

I hope this challenge inspires you to create and that you decide to participate in the challenge!

Hi, all! It's another challenge from Simply Challenged! It's time for our Halloween challenge for the month of August! And this month we challenge you to create a Halloween themed project that showcases movement of some kind!

Teen Scene Halloween 2 Blog Hop - Day 2

Hello, all! It's day 2 of the Teen Scene Halloween 2 Blog Hop!

I can't tell you how much fun I had playing with these stamps. They are nothing like I've ever seen before and they fit with my personality so much better than more classic or expected Halloween images!

Today's preview stamps are Cacklin' London and Bwains Christian!

Something's Brewing Oct. 31 Card. This lovely little witch is Cacklin' London. She's busy cooking up some nasty potions in her cauldron.... or maybe she's making perfume? Lol. The papers are from Glitz Design; bottles are made of craft plastic, stamped images from Graphic 45, and alcohol inks; border punch; and Stickles. Image colored with Copics.

Whut? No Brains? Card. This slightly confused young zombie is Bwains Christian. He has to be my favorite from this collection. I love the expression on his face and the one Converse on his foot. The background paper is from MAMBI, sentiment from Simply B Stamps, Liquid Pearls in Dark Chocolate, and cardstock in red and green. Image colored with Copics.

Simply Challenged Challenges - Aug 21 - Anything Goes!

Hello, all! Time for another Simply Challenged Challenge!!! Anything Goes today! Let your creativity lead you!

Welcome Back to Simply Challenged Challenges, and it's the 21st of the month, so time for our Anything Goes challenge. Nice and simple, just remember to use a SBS image, and then let your imagination go wild!!

To see all the details, DT inspiration, and winners of past challenges; please visit the SCC Blog!

This week the DT went all Christmas-y! Of course, with a Betty twist! We all used the Simply B Christmas Zombies!

This is the sample I came up with for this challenge:

Fa La La Card. I used Fa-La-La-La-La Lexi for my card. I love the color combo of turquoise and red, and I have these Christmas papers that have that combo in them, so viola! Here she is. I must say it was a little difficult to get into the Christmas-y spirit when I am revving up for Halloween! Lol.

I hope that you will join in the fun and participate in this week's challenge! Remember that anything goes and that you have until September 20 to complete the challenge!

Jude & the Rockers Halloween Blog Hop

Hello, all! We're having a little fun with the new Jude and the Rockers Halloween collection today! Come join in on the Simply B Stamps blog hop to celebrate the impending arrival of Halloween and the recent release of these awesome stamps! I know I can't wait for the 31st of October and anything Halloween is welcome! Lol.

These are the cards that I created with the Jude & the Rockers Halloween stamps:

Frightful! Card. This little guy is Little Skeleton Oscar. I love his little skeleton costume and used the bones as a theme for the card so I used paper that showed a skeleton's ribs for a background.

Happy Halloween Card. This is Little Pumpkin Lilly. She is the cutest pumpkin! My daughters both had pumpkin costumes as babies and this reminds me of these wonderful times.

Boo Card. Here is Little Bat Ali. She's a cheeky one! And I loved coloring in her striped outfit!

RAWR! Card. This is Little Monster Jude. He is the most adorable monster and I don't think he could frighten anyone but he'll do his best I'm sure ;)

Beware Card. Here is Dark Fairy Brittany. I love her face, full of mischief. She may be a fairy but there's nothing sweet and innocent about her!

Trick or Treat Card. This adorable witch is Little Witch Ariel. I love her sweet and innocent look (completely opposite of her above friend). She is such a darling witch and I must admit this is my favorite of all the cards I created.

One of a Kind Card. This is Squeekin' Jude from the Jude and the Rockers Outdoors collection from Simply B Stamps. Aren't he and his little furry friend just the cutest? I've used Jude here before and for some reason used the same papers for this one that I did for that one... but these papers are just too perfect for him in his outdoorsy-ness!

Punky Scraps Challenge 50

Hello, all! After a much needed break and a blog hop to get us warmed up again, Punky Scraps challenges have begun again!

Challenge 50 is a photo inspiration challenge. Below is the photo chosen to inspire you all:

And here is the sample I created using the above inspiration photo:

The design of the inspiration photo inspired me to add the reflection of the larger photo at the bottom; to add the splatters, frames and stamping; and to use a kraft paper background. The photos are of the sunset on South Padre Island, TX when my family and I were there to visit.

Supplies: paper is from My Mind's Eye and Graphic 45; Prima flowers; alphas, bling, and stamps from my stash; Tim Holtz flourish stamp; Staz-On ink; and Lindy's Stamp Gang mists in Red Hot Poker Orange and Afternoon Delight Denim; and Tattered Angels mist in Coffee Shop.
